Get Fit Stay Fit

Get Fit Stay Fit is a new class that is going to keep you guessing!  This class will offer a variety of different workouts including step aerobics, kickboxing, line dancing, and high intensity interval training.  This class is centered around an intermediate fitness level, but the instructor will always show modifications for all fitness levels.

Dr. Shaunette Parker is a seasoned fitness professional with over 15 years of expertise in the industry. Her career highlights include a decade-long tenure as a highly sought-after instructor at the Aiken Family Y, preceded by five years as an aerobics instructor and personal fitness coach in Indianapolis, IN. Dr. Parker’s versatile skill set encompasses a wide range of aerobic disciplines, including step aerobics, line dancing, kickboxing, water aerobics, and High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT).
In 2006, Dr. Parker faced a personal health challenge when she was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. This experience became a catalyst for her renewed focus on holistic wellness and inspired her to use her journey as a powerful testimony to motivate others. Her passion lies in empowering women to achieve their wellness goals through a combination of education and physical activity.
Dr. Parker’s philosophy is rooted in the belief that physical fitness is 90% mental and 10% physical. This perspective, coupled with her personal experience and professional expertise, allows her to provide a unique and inspiring approach to health and fitness. Her dedication to helping others take control of their health has made her a respected figure in the fitness community, blending her academic knowledge with practical experience to deliver transformative results for her clients.
